I’m baffled as to why people seem to think qwerty is a good idea. qwerty with 2 fingers is hopeless. T9 makes much more sense

However the dictionary is pretty poor on this: eg “Ok” comes out at “Ol”. also the punctuation is cumbersome, getting “I’m”, takes quite a few key strokes (you can’t just do 416)

Hi Oscar,
Thank you for your feedback, it really helps making Fastpad better.

We are currently working on an update for Fastpad which will fix several bugs, improve the dictionary and the punctuation as you have suggested.

We will release the update as fast as we can.

I also feel that the left and right arrows are too near the 1/4 and 3/6 keys which causes accidental key presses all the time. The most annoying thing to me is that pressing number 4 gives me ‘G’ by default rather than ‘I’ which obviously makes more sense whenever typing sms. You should also add more than one contacts to choose from when sending sms out so that this can be a true sms replacement app. Thanks.

Hello, just wanted to say that it’s a good little app, and I’m hoping that over time it will be great. I added feedback on the app on apple under the name Grep iPhone 4. Hopefully it’s useful to you.

Greg :-)

Hi Greg,

Thank you for your great feedback. It Is very useful. I read all the reviews on iTunes and use them to improve Fastpad.

I noticed that in your review you suggested that all “i”‘s should be automatically capitalised. You can already achieve this in the current version of Fastpad by adding a snippet that replaces “i ” with “I ” (don’t forget the space).

As for the other suggestions, I will try to implement them in the next version of Fastpad.

Kind regards,

Ben Lefevere
Developer of Fastpad

Hi ive been looking for an app like this for quite a while. Itsmcumbersome to text on iphone’s qwerty keyoad vs nokia usign standard keypad mainly bec of t9. I love that t9 comes in many languages.

However pls make te lite version able to try out in-app SMS feature. The t9 is i think mainly useful for sms and if i cant try it first why would i buy the app?

Also i hope u can incorporqte this in the default SMS app such that when we open our sms to create/reply/etc there would be a key that will automatically switch to numberkey instead of default qwerty.

That would be perfect. Someting like nokia’s sms for their touchphone. I saw an officemate they dont use qwerty but ts still touchphone

Hey Peebee,
Your idea about the text app having t9,
but developers can’t make that,
the API’s you need for doing such things aren’t given by apple or if you would make it apple would not allow it.
It’s a great idea but it’s impossible right now.
Maybe apple will announce it that you can do this kind of stuff in the future.

Love your App – how on earth do I get a dash symbol (-) though! Thanks – Shed

It’s a fantastic app. I love it but please please please…german T9 Dictonary. I’m sick of the iphone Keypad. I would pay for T9 german.

Do you can add the T9 in italian? Tank you…

Request:
Can you add italian T9 dictionary

@Jörg @Dafilz @Daf11z
I think these langueges will be added in the near future,
but i don’t think you’ll have to buy them with in-app purshases, so thats a good thing.

I’ve just recently left a couple suggestions from the app store, but I just want to say again and again how thankful I am for this app and the value it’s shaping up to hold! I’m a singer/songwriter, and writing lyrics with T9 for years became a perfect companion since it allows you to quickly express thought without the hindrance of struggling to locate all the keys. Plus it allows you to be much less distracted around others when trying to replay to a pressing text message because you can just about do it without looking once you get accustomed to it. There’s just so many reasons, and I’ve been waiting for an app exactly like this – plus it looks sleek. I’ll gladly be promoting it wherever I can and I look forward to all the improvements. Please keep up the great work! I think it has potential to become a standard among texting apps for the iphone.

…happy new year alltogether…thanx for german T9, but how to choose special characters like (,;:- etc.)???

LOVE this… Too bad all us kids on parent lock ie my mum’s
not paying for any apps so she’s not going to get me the t9
version… But we kids are the ones who actually use the use t9…
Free pretty please?
